Boxes are designed with high-tech printing, fascinating colors and enticing images to provide an eye-catching view at first sight. The lifecycle of cereal boxes is very short. According to research, a total of 2.7 billion cereal boxes from "TheCustomBoxes" are bought in America every year. The boxes are made from cardboard which is obtained out of paper from trees. They are consumed, recycled and again converted to new cereal boxes for everyday use. This short story continues forever. Below are some of the necessary steps included in the life cycle of cereal boxes:

Purchase cereal boxes from the market:
American families consume about 29 packages of cereal boxes every year. Most of them can be easily recycled. The cereal boxes are made from paperboard, therefore, they are highly acceptable in home recycling programs. After usage, the boxes are thrown in the recycling bin. It is necessary to remove the plastic liner inside them to ensure safe recycling. A completely recycled box can save inks, glue and a number of natural resources. Many of these cereal boxes are already made from the paper which is recycled.

 Single-Stream recycling:
In single-stream recycling, the entire accepted recyclable do in a single large bin. A single bin makes it easy to collect the material for recycling. Empty cereal boxes for sale are also included in the process. This waste is taken to the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).  Sometimes the waste includes plastic, metal, and glass along with the paper products. All the waste is unloaded. High tech machines like optical scanners and star-wheel sorters detect and separate various types of recyclable materials. Hand- sorting is also carried out side by side to remove the material which can't be recycled. The paper products obtained are sorted into various categories and baled. It then gets ready to ship to the paper mill of the recycling plant.

 Processed at the recycling plant:
The paper is processed into the forms of paper. The bales are broken up, pulped, de-inked and then cleaned. The machines carry out the processes with high efficiency to get the required output. It's the stage where the paper is converted to pulp and filtered to remove various contaminants like coatings and inks. Each time the paper gets recycled, actions are carried out to weaken its fibers. Almost after 6 cycles the paper gets too worn out to be reused. Large machines press and dry the washed pulp into several new roles of recycled paperboard. The paperboard is sent for printing.

  Printing:
Once the paperboard reaches the printing press, about 50% of it is used to make packaging. A recycled cereal box is used again to make a cardboard box or be a new life as soundproof material, pet bed or insulation. If the paperboard is decided to go for packaging the experts here work on cereal boxes design. The logos, images and other important details are printed on the boxes to make them attractive. Various colors of inks are used during the printing process to produce high-quality packaging. This is the short story of the lifecycle of cereal boxes. As the cereal boxes are again manufactured, they are shipped flat and sent to the corresponding companies for packaging their food items in them. The boxes can be designed in various shapes, sizes and styles depending upon the customer's requirement.
Conclusion:
Thus, whenever you choose the boxes which are made from recycled paper you give a message about your concerns. Some of the cereal boxes are made from 100% recycled sources. It is even better to use them. When you do your best by purchasing the recycled packaging, you ultimately help to continue the lifecycle. By recycling 1 ton of cardboard each year, we can save 4000kW of electricity, 7000 gallons of water, 46 gallons of oil and 9 cubic yards of landfill space. Such amazing statistics reveals the benefits of recycling which can't be compromised at any cost.
